Nancy Ann Brown was selected as The Republic’s 2015 Woman of the Year. Brown was honored during a ceremony and received the Woman of the Year necklace from Merry Carmichael, 2014’s recipient.

Several hundred fans attended the Harlem Ambassadors exhibition game at Columbus North High School, a fundraiser for the Columbus Police Athletic League. Playing in the game was Lade Majic, Queen of Show Basketball.

The 1975 Bartholomew County United Way campaign reached a total of $604,225, which was 93% of its $650,000 goal. The campaign saw increased participation from community members compared to previous years.
