Men of all ages gathered on the steps of Columbus City Hall for the fourth annual Men Take a Stand Walk to promote the message “don’t be a bystander to domestic violence.” Rich Gold, a longtime board member of Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, was the keynote speaker.

2000

The family of Bartholomew County resident A. Warren Phillips Jr. received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Lt. Gov. Joseph E. Kernan, commissioner of agriculture. The award recognizes farms that have been in the same family for at least 100 consecutive years.

1975

“Robert Indiana: Decade” opened as the second exhibit of the 1975-76 season at the Second Storey Gallery in the Columbus Visitors Center. Indiana was present at an invitational preview of the exhibit at the gallery.
