DAYTON, Tenn. — Columbus Christian finished fourth in the Division IV bracket of the National Association of Christian Athletes volleyball tournament after falling 25-10, 20-17 to First Baptist Academy from Cooper City, Florida, in Friday morning’s third-place game.
The Crusaders went 3-3 in the three-day tournament to finish the season 10-17. Sophomore Emma Rice made the All-Tournament team.
Bella Frederickson led Columbus Christian with 17 kills and five solo and one assist block over the six matches. Addison Smith recorded 16 assists, Rice notched 28 digs and Abby Dora served 11 aces.
Also for the Crusaders, Gabby Law pounded nine kills, and Dora added six kills 10 assists, one block assist and 16 digs. Rice tallied six assists, Tea Richey had one solo block Macimae Brown contributed 12 digs and five aces, Frederickson served eight aces, Mara Nickerson had six aces and Katie Bond five aces.
