Columbus teen Cameron Fathauer was walking and talking months sooner than expected while recovering from a serious head injury sustained when he was struck by a vehicle. Fathauer was scheduled to speak before more than 200 people during his Roadblocks-to-Christianity conference at YES Cinema the following week.

Kerasotes Theater’s ShowPlace 12 opened a week earlier than scheduled to show six movies for $3, with proceeds going to the Firemen’s Cheer Fund. The movies ranged from “Chicken Run” to “Gladiator.”

Volunteers began recording data about local homes that were chosen for preservation as part of a Bicentennial project led by the Community Development Department and the Bartholomew County Historical Museum.
