Legal Advertisement EDINBURGH TOWN COUNCIL Notice of Public Hearing The Edinburgh Town Council will hold a public hearing on the 27th day of October, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall located at 107 S. Holland Street, Edinburgh, Indiana, to consider a petition by Angela M. Kelsey, for consideration of an ordinance annexing certain property contiguous to the boundaries of the Town of Edinburgh and a resolution adopting a fiscal plan of services for the annexation of certain territory. This request is for the annexation of approximately 1.30 acres commonly known as 7995 S. US 31 Edinburgh, IN 46124, legally described as follows: Legal Description 2013-004477 A part of Lot 35 and a part of Lot 41 in Heckman Village near the Town of Edinburg, Indiana, as recorded in Plat Book 3, page 54, in the office of the Recorder of Johnson, County, Indiana. Also, a strip of ground lying south of and adjacent to the south line of said Lot 41 described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 35, said point being also the northwest corner of Lot 41, running thence south 8 degrees 40 minutes east upon and along the west line of Lot 41, 200 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 41, said point being also in the north right-of-way line of State Road No. 252; thence south 59 degrees 51 minutes east upon and along said right-of-way line as now established, 152.25 feet to a point; thence north 8 degrees 40 minutes west parallel with the west line of said Lot 41, 276.40 feet to a point; thence north 89 degrees 43 minutes west parallel with the north line of Lot 35 a distance of 120.07 feet to the place of beginning. Written suggestions or objections to provisions of said request may be filed with the Edinburgh Town Clerk, at or before such meeting and will be heard by the Edinburgh Town Council at the time and place specified. Hearings may be continued from time to time as may be necessary. Interested persons desiring to present their views upon the said request, either in writing or verbally, will be given the opportunity to be heard at the above mentioned time and place by attending the meeting.
