The Advisory Council of Thrive Alliance, representing Brown, Bartholomew, Decatur, Jackson and Jennings counties, will host a session covering updates in policies concerning services to Indiana’s aging population. The session will also cover efforts to ensure that the aging population is equitably represented in decision-making about those policies.
The session is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Cal Brand Room at Columbus City Hall, 123 Washington St., Columbus.
The session will feature an advocacy brief by Hannah Carlock, interim director of the Indiana Association of Area Agencies on Aging, entitled “What’s Changing and Why it Matters.”
The session will also cover updates on Thrive Alliance programs, current advocacy topics and opportunities for members of the public to share what they are seeing in the community. Anyone may attend – older adults, people with disabilities, caregivers, service providers and neighbors who care.
