Cody Wayne Woods, 28, of Seymour, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Born in Seymour, Indiana on June 24, 1997, to his mother, Tammy Woods. Cody was a graduate of Seymour High School, class of 2015. Following graduation, he joined the workforce before proudly enlisting in the United States Air Force in January 2019. Cody served six years in the U.S. Air Force, reaching the rank of Senior Airman. While stationed in Utah, he met and married his wife, Daniela, on November 25, 2019. In 2024, they welcomed their daughter, Rheyn.
Cody was a loving husband, an active and devoted father, an adored son, a cherished older brother, and a friend to many. He had an offbeat sense of humor and a contagious laugh that all who knew him will remember. He moved through the world with curiosity and compassion and was uniquely himself. Those qualities made everyone around him feel welcomed and at ease. He loved adventure, was always up for a game night, and was deeply loved by his immediate and extended family.
He is survived by his wife, Daniela Woods; daughter, Rheyn Woods; mother, Tammy Woods; brother, Ty Woods-Weddell (Fiance- Montana Crossman); and a large extended family.
Services have been entrusted to Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home.
In keeping with Cody’s wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, November 15th from 1-4 p.m. at the Jennings Township Conservation Club, 2177 County Road 400 North, Austin, Indiana 47102. Memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to an educational fund for Rheyn.
