The Columbus North girls cross-country team finished third in the state finals for the third time in the high school career of their three varsity seniors, Sierra Lax, Nina Bouthier and Allison Coffey. The second-ranked Bull Dogs were led by junior Rachel Brougher with an 11th-place finish.

Youth for Christ of South Central Indiana hosted a Campus Life Barn Bash with a bonfire on a farm near Otter Creek Golf Course. The gathering featured music, games and a weenie roast.

Columbus North’s football team edged Columbus East 7-0 during the fourth annual Pigskin Scramble held at East. North’s defense turned back five East scoring threats in its second shutout of the season.
