American Legion Post 24 in Columbus, 2515 25th St., is having a special Veterans Day event Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Veterans are invited to enjoy a gourmet burger and a beer at the event ($15 for non veterans) presented by the Nashville Chophouse, and Chef Joe Oliphant, U.S. Navy Honor guard.

A form of veteran ID is requested from those who attend.
