RIO GRANDE, Ohio — The IU Columbus cross-country teams wrapped up their seasons Saturday at the River States Conference.
The Crimson Pride women finished seventh out of nine teams, and the men took ninth out of 10 teams.
Phoebe Dowty ran a school-record 23 minutes, 43 seconds for 6K (3.7 miles) to finish 11th and earn second-team All-Conference honors. There is a chance Dowty could be selected for a berth to the NAIA Championships when a committee picks those Tuesday afternoon.
Columbus North graduate Erin Jones finished 48th in 26:34 in her final collegiate race. Tori Gauck took 68th in 28:40, while Alexandria Saavedra was 79th in 31:48 and Grace Barkes 84th in 34:46.
Emiliano Rosales-Lopez led the IUC men with a 55th-place finish in 28:30 for 8K (5 miles). Jackson Neibert took 65th in 29:07, while Henry Fleetwood was 76th (29:40), Chance Knapp 90th (30:46), Bryaun Manuel 101st (31:48), Luke Neibert 103rd (31:54) and Columbus East graduate Joey Martinez 119th (39:04) in his final collegiate race.
