GREENSBURG — South Decatur jumped out to a 26-16 halftime lead Friday and went on to post a 53-43 girls basketball win against Rising Sun.
Taylor Somers led the Cougars (4-0) with 17 points, three assists, six steals and five blocks. Riley Benge had 15 points and 11 rebounds, Raegan Benge added 11 points and 16 rebounds and Dalilah Martin scored 10 points.
South Decatur was coming off a 43-37 Mid-Hoosier Conference win Thursday at Morristown. Somers had 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Raegan Benge added 13 points and 17 rebounds.
