A 19th century-style Seth Thomas replica clock was placed on the Hope Town Square after being custom made by Verdin Clock Company of Cincinnati. The clock was part of the first phase of a $140,000 town square improvement project.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department detectives were searching for the owner of a seven-foot-tall, eight-foot-long homemade camel that was left near a rural Bartholomew County home. Detective Greg Duke said he suspected the camel came from a church nativity scene.
