Columbus officials agreed on a new image for the State Street Corridor after comparing photos with artist renderings of potential upgrades. The upgrades included improvements to pedestrian paths, greenspace, sculptural and lighting enhancements.

Columbus’ Christmas tree was set up at City Hall by more than 20 workers from the city and Frank’s Tree Service. The 20-foot-tall tree was donated by Bruce and Lorrine Beisel of Jonesville Road.

The Task Force on Indo-China Refugees was formed in Columbus by the Indiana Council of Churches to assist the local Ecumenical Assembly Church congregation in resettling 15 Vietnamese families in the Columbus community.
