MOORESVILLE — The Columbus East girls wrestlers finished 10th out of 16 teams in Saturday’s Mooresville Girls Super Duals.
The Olympians lost to Greenwood 48-30 and Hamilton Southeastern 48-36 and beat Jeffersonville 42-36 in theit pool. East then beat Anderson 46-30 before falling to Bloomington South 42-36 in the ninth-place match.
Izzy Wakefield at 155 pounds and Annie Redman at 170 each went 5-0 for the Olympians. Tienica Dits (110) went 2-0, Abby Morales (100) and Gloria Cloud (125) each went 4-1 and Brelylin Rodriguez (115) went 3-2.
Jennings County beat Jay County 72-12, lost to Terre Haute North on criteria after a 36-36 tie and fell to Perry Meridian 60-24 in its pool. The Panthers then lost to Southport on criteria after another 36-36 tie.
