2015

The annual Christmas of Yesteryear was held in Hope, drawing inspiration from Norman Rockwell, Charles Dickens, Thornton Wilder, Moravian Church founder John Hus, community founder Martin Hauser, Martha Stewart and even Madison Avenue.

2000

A “Shared Thanksgiving” was held at St. Peter’s Lutheran School, which united second-grade students from St. Peter’s and Lincoln Elementary School. The students enjoyed snacks, played games and exchanged gifts.

1975

The Columbus Symphony Orchestra played its final concert of the season in the Columbus East High School auditorium, dedicated to the late Bernadine Kitzinger. The orchestra was joined by Alberto Gutana, a doctoral student at Indiana University School of Music, in Chopin’s “Concert No. 2 in F Minor.”
