Bloomington schools cancel gymnastics seasons

Columbus North has had to find a couple of new gymnastics opponents after Bloomington North and Bloomington South canceled their seasons because they were unable to find coaches.

The Bull Dogs have added a second meet with Seymour and now will visit the Owls Jan. 26 and host Seymour Feb. 5. They will host Edgewood Jan. 29.

Columbus North also was to host the Conference Indiana meet, but with the two Bloomington schools having been the only other two in the conference with gymnastics teams, there will be no conference meet this year.

The Bull Dogs will open the season Jan. 7 at home against Franklin Central, then will visit Columbus East Jan. 12 in what will be the season opener for the Olympians.
