Columbus Elks Lodge #521 recently announced its charitable giving in 2025.
For Veterans Day, the lodge raised over $4,200 with a combination of fundraisers and a ENVSC Freedom Grant from the National Elks which they used to give gift bags with household items and hygiene products to more than 50 local veterans in Bartholomew and Brown counties.
The lodge also used a portion of a Beacon Grant from the National Elks to donate $2,500 to Clarity of Central Indiana to help local social services.
Most recently the lodge raised over $15,000, which included a $6,000 Beacon Grant, for its annual Children’s Christmas fund that helps support over 53 families with 125 children providing presents and clothing. This year with extra funds the lodge was able to provide a holiday meal package to each of the families as well.
