COLUMBUS
Glenn Boggs, 88, of Columbus, Indiana went to his heavenly home on the morning of December 22, 2025.
Born on May 5, 1937 in Kings Creek, Kentucky to his late parents Jonah and Pearlie Boggs. On April 12, 1963 Glenn married the love of his life, Vera Ann Stamper. Glenn has missed her every day since she passed on September 21, 2016.
Glenn lived his life in reverence for his Lord and Savior. He had a deep love for God’s creation. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
He proudly served in the US army and retired from Cummins Engine Company after 31 years of service.
He loved to spend time outside. He had a special love for gardening, fishing, and relaxing on a porch swing or rocking chair. Spending time in the mountains of Kentucky with his family brought him great joy along with watching UK basketball. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had a special relationship with each one.
He is survived by his 3 children, Stephen (Mary) Boggs, Rhonda Boggs-Jackson (Danny Tekulve), Mike (Cari) Boggs; 7 grandchildren, Kayla (Brandon) Henry, Hunter (Paige) Boggs, Molly (John) Malina, Carly (Jacob) Stiver, Maggy (Carter) Screeton, Chase Boggs, Nash (Sarah) Jackson; 10 great-grandchildren, Colt, Remi, Paislee, Sailor, Cash, Reid, Vera, Scottie, Murphy, and one on the way. Also survived by his brother, Less Boggs and sister, Yvonne Ison.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Vera Mitchell, Venon Boggs, Fess Boggs, Iva Dean Day and Wilma Jean Pendleton.
The funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Pastor Travis Stamper officiating.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. to time of service.
Mr. Boggs will be laid to rest next to his late wife at the Valley Home Old Regular Baptist Cemetery in Freetown.
Military honors will be presented by the VFW Post 1925.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
