Former Cummins Foundation Director Adele Vincent self-published her first mystery novel, “Dust on a Bowl of Roses,” which was based in the 1970s. Vincent previously worked at the New York Times and the Louisville Courier-Journal.

2001

The Fireman’s Cheer Fund surpassed its goal in 2000 by raising $10,000 more than its goal of $40,000. Additional fundraisers, including a Showplace 12 sneak preview, brought in more than $4,000.

1976

David Richmond of Tucson, Ariz., was named the economic development director for the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce during a reception at the Visitors Center. Richmond was previously the executive director of the Development Authority of Tucson.
