Caleb Ferguson // Columbus North senior basketball player

Ferguson scored a career-high 30 points and grabbed seven rebounds Saturday to lead the Bull Dogs to a 72-59 win against Fort Wayne Wayne in the Fishers Tournament. Friday, he led North with 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists in an 80-44 loss to Lawrence Central in the tourney.

His performance last week: “I thought our team bounced back after the first day of the tournament. My team got me the ball where I could make shots.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “Just hang out with the guys and listen to some Christian music.”

Favorite drink: “Body Armor”

Favorite food: “Buffalo chicken wings”

Favorite class: “Hoosiers (PE basketball class)”

Favorite sports team: “Purdue”

Favorite athlete: “(Purdue point guard) Braden Smith”

Role model: “My parents (Michelle and North coach Paul Ferguson)”

Best advice: “Continue to work as hard as you can and put others in front of yourself.”

Athletics goal: “To reach our potential as a basketball team and hopefully win sectional.”

If you could travel anywhere: “Alaska, to fly fish and hunt.”

Miley McClellan // Columbus North senior basketball player

Miley McClellan

McClellan led the Bull Dogs with 14 points and a career-high 17 rebounds in a 54-42 win against Eastern (Pekin) in the championship game of the Scottsburg Tournament. Also in the tourney, she had nine points in a 52-29 win over East Central and eight points in a 52-41 win against Brownstown Central.

Her performance last week: “I was just happy that we won the tournament.”

Do you do anything special to prepare? “I always pray before a game.”

Favorite drink: “I like Gatorade.”

Favorite food: “Alfredo pasta”

Favorite class: “I like math.”

Favorite sports team: “I like watching IU football.”

Favorite athlete: “(Former NBA star) Scottie Pippen”

Role model: “My dad (IU Columbus athletics director and baseball coach Zach McClellan)”

Best advice: “Think next play.”

Athletics goal: “Win the sectional.”
