Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. board members on Monday night voted on board officers, community liasion positions and appointments to various local government boards for 2026.
Rich Stenner, District 2, was selected as school board president, Dale Nowlin, District 4, was named board vice president with Whittney Loyd, District 3, as secretary.
Nikki Wheeldon, District 7, had served as school board president since 2023 but backed Stenner, as did Nowlin, Loyd and Tom Glick, District 5.
Stenner was approved as board president 5-2, with members Logan Schulz, District 6, and Jason Major, District 1, voting against.
Schulz made a motion to nominate Major as president, which failed 2-5.
Major, in turn, nominated Schulz as vice president, which also failed 3-4, with just Major, Schulz and Glick voting in favor.
A motion by Major to nominate Glick as secretary failed 2-5, with only Major and Schulz voting in favor.
Officers for 2026 are the following:
- Board President: Rich Stenner, District 2. Approved 5-2, with Major and Schulz voting against.
- Board Vice President: Dale Nowlin, District 4. Approved 4-3, with Major, Schulz and Glick voting against.
- Secretary: Whittney Loyd, District 3. Approved 5-2, with Major and Schulz voting against.
The board also approved the following appointments to various board and committees, which are the same as last year:

High Ability Broad Based Committee: Dale Nowlin
