Robert Stephen Pogue, 79, of Yorba Linda, CA passed away on October 30, 2025. Robert (Bob) was born to Cleve A. and Vernita Bond Pogue on July 5th, 1946 in Columbus, IN.
Bob was a strong, loving man whose kindness and determination shaped everyone around him. Those who knew him will always remember him for his humorous personality and love of laughter. He loved his wife deeply, along with his only daughter, two grandkids and all of his family. His incredible love of rock and roll was unwavering and he had a passion for classic cars – he owned a 1968 Ford Mustang and a 1931 Ford Model A.
Bob was a proud graduate of Indiana University and worked in retail for almost 47 years, starting as a buyer for department store, May Company, then working his way up to District Regional Manager. He also worked at IKEA, STOR, Target and Disneyland over the years until he and his wife decided to own their own business and opened 2 stores with Wild Birds Unlimited in Orange County, CA – one in Yorba Linda and the other in Mission Viejo.
Bob is survived by his wife, Gail Sleeth Pogue; his daughter Brandi (Casey) Lau; and his grandsons, Brady and Blake.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Vernita, and sister, Connie (Pogue) Phillips. He now joins them all in Heaven.
