GREENSBURG — Abby Manley nailed a 3-pointer at the buzzer Thursday to give Hauser a 53-51 upset at co-Mid-Hoosier Conference girls basketball champion North Decatur.
The Jets (12-9, 3-3) led by two points at half, but fell behind by seven with a minute left in the game. Manley hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to four, then after a turnover Hayden Dickey hit another 3 to make it a one-point game. Hauser got the ball back, and Manley hit the game-winner.
Manley finished with 15 points to lead the Jets. Ava Dempsey scored nine, Dickey had eight and Kennedy Konradi added seven.
North Decatur’s loss allowed South Decatur to finish in a tie with the Chargers atop the conference standings with 5-1 records.
Hauser will close the regular season Saturday at home against Christian Academy of Indiana. JV tip is at 1 p.m., followed by the varsity at around 2:30 p.m..
