COLUMBUS
Barbara J. Fulp, 84, of Columbus passed from this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 12:33 a.m. at Homeview Health &Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.
Born June 15, 1941, in Owen County, Kentucky, the daughter of William Shelby and Alberta Robinson Littrell.
On August 4, 1963, Barbara’s life was beautifully entwined with that of Robert J. Fulp Jr. as they embarked on a marriage journey that would thrive on love, respect, and mutual support for 62 wonderful years. Together, they crafted a life full of joy and cherished moments.
Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Fulp Jr of Columbus; son, Brian J. (Anita) Fulp of Honesdale, PA, grandchildren, Adam (Elizabeth) Dishman of Bloomington, and Arjun, Amit, and Aasha Fulp all of Honesdale, PA.
She had a tremendous love for animals, with horses and kittens occupying a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
The words that best describe Barbara are loving and compassionate. She approached life with a kind and generous heart. Her life was a portrait of love in action, touching the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Clyde Littrell.
Her vibrant spirit will continue to live on through the memories of her loving family and friends. Barbara J. Fulp’s journey on earth has come to a close, but the impressions she left on the hearts of those she met will never fade. Her life was a radiant example of caring, connection, and the enduring power of love.
The funeral service was held Friday, February 6th at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Evan Guse officiating.
Family and friends gathered for visitation prior to the service at the funeral home.
Private burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Bartholomew County Humane Society or C.A.R.E.
