Robin Hilber was chosen as Columbus’ community development programs coordinator, replacing the communication and program coordinator role held by Mike Nolting. Hilber took over the grants, tax abatements and other programs for the community development department.

Columbus North High School sophomore Leah Retrum won the 200-yard individual medley and 500 freestyle titles, and swam the first leg of the Bull Frogs’ winning 200 medley relay at the IHSAA Girls Swimming and Diving State Finals in Indianapolis.

Conservation officer Tony Wilson of Columbus was named Bartholomew County Officer of the Year during a dinner honoring all county law officers at Donner Center as part of National Crime Prevention Week.
