A Cummins employee was among those honored in Gov. Mike Braun’s Workplace Safety Awards.
Christhian Padilla, a senior HSE engineer at Cummins received one of three Everyday Safety Hero Awards for prioritization of keeping the workplace safe.
The Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Central Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Safe Professionals partnered with the Indiana Department of Labor to host the event.
Padilla was nominated by fellow Cummins employees for ensuring “workplace safety and heath excellence” according to a press release. The award was designed specifically for front-line employees like Padilla who prioritize safety in the workplace when that is not specifically their job.
“It is a joy to be with these companies and individuals to celebrate the ways they have prioritized health and safety at work. I ran a business for 37 years, so I know the importance of workplace safety, and I applaud today’s award recipients for making it a priority,” Braun said in the press release.
