Legal Advertisement For Release: February 21, 2026 Columbus Transit Debuts new Loop System on March 23 Starting March 23, 2026, the ColumBUS Transit system will introduce a new loop system, replacing the numbered routes currently in use. The new system will feature four loops, designated by color. The new loops include the Blue, Green, Orange and Purple loops. Each loop starts at the ColumBUS Transit depot at 850 Lindsey Street, and returns or loops back at the top of each hour. Our staff has gathered data and community input to create more efficient, easy to use bus loop system around our city says Matt Dudukovich, ColumBUS Director. The new loops change less than 25% of our current routes and stops, while allowing us to service new areas of Columbus, including new stops around Indianapolis Road. The new Blue loop will stop near Arcadia Drive and Kenholt Drive, destinations such Southern Indiana Orthopedics, and the subdivisions of Arbors at Waters Edge, Abbey Place, Princeton Park, and Carter Crossing. As part of the new system, bus stop signage will change citywide on Sunday, March 22. Passengers are encouraged to review the new loops online on at https://www.columbus.in.gov/columbus-transit/loops/. Printed maps will be available at the ColumBUS Transit office on February 23, 2026.
