Columbus’ 15th annual Gospel Musical was celebrated at Calvary Community Church, with about 130 people in attendance. Gospel choirs from four area churches capped Black History Month with hallelujahs and history.

The warmest February in Columbus in modern weather history was recorded when the thermometer climbed to 72 degrees over the weekend. The average temperature for February 1976 was 51.9 degrees, beating the previous record of 51.4 degrees in 1954.
