STRAUGHN — Edinburgh and South Decatur won first-round games Wednesday at the Tri Sectional and will meet each other in the semifinals at around 7:45 p.m. Friday.
In the opener, Edinburgh pulled out a 63-60 win against Knightstown. Max Dodson led the Lancers (10-14) with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Charlie Roberts scored 16 points, and Bailey Totten added 15 points.
South Decatur rolled to a 71-53 win against archrival North Decatur in the nightcap. The Cougars (16-6) led 37-23 at halftime.
