More than 500 students attended the Turning Point Dance Marathon at Central Middle School, a more than 30% increase from the previous year’s 380 students. A total of $187,000 was raised, surpassing in the $120,000 goal.

Leland Kaiser, author and professor at the University of Colorado-Denver, was the keynote speaker at the Bartholomew County Healthy Communities Initiative’s annual meeting. Kaiser helped the county launch the initiative 10 years prior.
