Flood advisory in effect for Bartholomew County until 7:30 p.m. today

COLUMBUS, Ind. — A flood advisory is in effect for Bartholomew, Decatur, Johnson, Rush and Shelby counties until 7:30 p.m. today.

Flooding from excessive rainfall is expected.

There may be water over roadways and minor flooding in low-lying areas.

– At 3:28 p.m.,  Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.

– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Adams, Edinburgh, Whiteland, Bargersville, Hope, Flat Rock,

Milford, Westport, Princes Lakes, Geneva, Morristown,
