Legal Advertisement 2026 Town of Hartsville Community Crossing Project HMA Reconstruction of Taylor Street and Culvert Replacement TOWN OF HARTSVILLE, INDIANA ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The Town of Hartsville, Indiana, will receive bids for the 2026 Town of Hartsville Community Crossing 2026-1 Project to mill, patch, and overlay Taylor St from SR 46 to College St. and Washington St. from Sr 46 to 240 ft north of School St. in the Town of Hartsville, all in accordance with the Contract Documents, Construction Schedule, and Specifications. Bids will be received at the Hartsville First Baptist Church until 4:00 PM, prevailing time, on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026, located at 475 South Jackson St., Hartsville, IN 47246, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the FGE Conference Room. Bids received after that time will be returned unopened. Bids may also be mailed to Shawn Strange at 5925 Lakeside Blvd., Indianapolis, IN 46278 but must be delivered by 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 2nd, 2026. Contract documents are on file electronically and may be ordered via email by contacting the email address sstrange@firstgroupengineering.com The Proposal must be made using the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashier’s or certified check drawn on an acceptable bank or an acceptable bidder’s bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the Town of Hartsville, Indiana. The Contractor’s Bid for Public Work – Form 96 shall be filled out and included with the contractor’s bid. The bidder to whom a contract for work is awarded will be required to furnish a Maintenance and Payment Bond executed on the specified forms and acceptable to the District, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract. The bidder (proposer) must supply all the information required by the bid proposal form. Liquidated damages for delay will be as provided in the Bid Proposal. Work hours will be as provided in the Technical Specifications. Partial payment will be made monthly based on an approved payment requisition. The contractor and all subcontractors must comply with required Federal and State labor regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity, E-Verify, Non-segregated Facilities, and Affirmative Action requirements. The Town of Hartsville, Indiana, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or parts thereof and to waive all responsibility for irregularities in bids. Bids may be held by the Town of Hartsville, Indiana, for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of the bids to review the bids and the investigation of the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the Contract.
