Mary Lou Nolting Rittman, 96, passed away Wednesday evening, March 18, 2026 in Naples, FL. She was a former resident of Seymour, IN.
Born March 16, 1930 in Columbus, IN, she was the daughter of Ralph O. and Katie L. (Voelz) Nolting.
On September 7, 1952, she married Alfred E. Rittman.
Mary Lou worked for Irwin Union Bank in Columbus, IN for six years, and Jackson County Bank in Seymour for five years. Additionally, she worked for Citizens State Bank in Brownstown for twenty-two years prior to moving to Naples, FL.
Mary Lou was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Naples where she was a member of the choir. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Seymour. She was also a member of the VFW #7721 Auxiliary of Golden Gate, FL, and the American Legion #135 of Naples, FL.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Debra) Rittman; daughters, Tina Espiritu; grandchildren, Tiffany (Todd) East, Nathan (Jamie) Rittman, Michelle (Rowe) Hudson, Mary (Sebastian) Saitta; great grandchildren, Kelian and Kelis East, Anna and Sara Hudson; step great grandchildren, Jessy and Jake; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alfred E. Rittman, on April 23, 2015; sister Katharyne Baute, and brother Robert Nolting.
Visitation will take place from 11-1PM, Friday, March 27, 2026, at Voss &Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, IN. Rev. Dr. Ralph Blomenberg will officiate a funeral service to follow at 1PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
