WEST TERRE HAUTE — IU Columbus swept a River Staes Conference softball doubleheader Sunday at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, winning 12-3 and 12-2.
Chloe Linn threw a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts and went 3 for 5 with a home run and four RBIs in the opener. Linnea Baldner went 3 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs.
Destiny Forler and winning pitcher Kenzie Matern combined on a three-hitter in the second game. Carli Hosler went 3 for 3, Mallory Shelton went 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs, Renee Lecher went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Ciera Cramer and Emma Chism each went 2 for 3.
The Crimson Pride (12-12, 9-9) visit West Virginia Tech for a doubleheader Friday and Rio Grande for a doubleheader Saturday before returing home for a doubleheader with IU Southeast April 7.
