BROWN COUNTY — To celebrate the opening of two new exhibitions, the Brown County Art Guild is inviting everyone to step into a world of vibrant colors and rich textures at their “New Exhibitions pARTy” gallery reception, to be held on March 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 48 S. Van Buren St. in Nashville.

A group of talented musicians from just across the Ohio River are making their Helen Haddad Hall debut this month.

Though you’ll mostly find him performing on cruise ships, comedian and Columbus native Jeff Bodart said it’s always nice to get home.

The United Way of Bartholomew County’s annual meeting will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 29 at The Commons and is free to attend. Lunch will also be provided at the event.

The Columbus branch of the NAACP is hosting this year’s Freedom Fund Gala and Dance, the largest fundraising event for each local chapter, this Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m. All funds raised are used for scholarship funds and youth-oriented programming.

“A Taste of Ireland - The Irish Music & Dance Sensation” comes to Columbus at 3 p.m. Sunday to conclude its tour of the Hoosier state.
