Columbus East High School auditorium director Kevin Welsh recalled that George Orwell’s book “Animal Farm” was one of the first stories that had an effect on him. Years later, he and several student actors are bringing that story to the stage for Columbus East High School’s spring production.

The music of world-renowned singer and songwriter Neil Diamond comes to the Brown County Music Center May 9 as Robert Neary presents “So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience.” The show, entering its fourth year of touring, promises to be the ultimate tribute to Diamond’s career.

The long-running Columbus North High School tradition is returning for another musical trip through time. American Pie: the Magical History Tour, the show where music and history collide, will be held May 2 for its 40th year at the school.

St. Paul Lutheran Church has invited Ball State University’s Dr. Marko Petričić for concert combining familiar tunes with an unfamiliar instrument. In addition to the traditional organ, Petričić will be demonstrating the bayan-accordion, a Russian instrument he has played all his life.

Presented for the first time at Grace Lutheran, this free “The Living Painting - A Live Presentation of da Vinci’s The Last Supper” event is planned at 6 p.m. April 12 at the church, 3201 Central Ave.

While the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church concert series is wrapping up for the year, the Hot Horns Brass Ensemble is just getting warmed up. The internationally known ensemble will be making a stop at the church during a month-long tour for a truly unique performance alongside organist Lindsey Fugill.

For the first time in Columbus, the harrowing journey of Anastasia will soon come to life on the stage of Columbus North High School as Columbus North Drama presents the historical tale for its spring musical.

Dancers Studio, Inc. will present the classic ballet Swan Lake for First Fridays for Families event on April 4, presented by the Columbus Area Arts Council.
