* The local and ever-popular Banister Family Bluegrass Band, shown here, will perform from 5 to 7 p,m. Friday at the Columbus Area Arts Council’s free Sixth Street Arts Alley Event and the closing reception for the 411 Gallery exhibition there at that downtown locale just off Washington Street. The exhibition is local artist Jes Miller’s work “If Morandi Painted My Knick Knacks … & Macro Explorations.” If you’ve been anywhere around here in the past 30 years, you know the Banisters’ energetic, toe-tapping tunes. And you’ll be richer if you acquaint yourself with Miller’s latest work. Information: artsinindiana.org.
