Local business celebrates 50 years
Burt’s Termite & Pest Control is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Founded by Dave and Joan Burt, the business was purchased by Doug and Cindi Foster in 1985. During that time the company has grown slowly but strategically to 14 employees providing general pest and termite services to both residential and business customers. Both of their children, Autumn Powers and Brandon Foster are involved in the business. Doug is a Purdue graduate entomologist and former president of the Indiana Pest Management Association (IPMA).
