This program is funded by Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended. These funds are to be used for a community development project which includes a Housing Owner-Occupied Rehab Program with the following activities: Rehabilitation of scattered owner-occupied homes within the Town of Hope. The total amount of CDBG funds to be requested is $350,000.00. The amount of CDBG funds proposed to be used for activities that will benefit low- to moderate-income persons is approximately $322,000. The Applicant also proposes to expend an estimated $44,000.00 in non-CDBG funds on the project. The non-CDBG funds will be derived from the USDA Historic Preservation Grant Fund. The Town of Hope will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 5:30 pm., at Town Hall, 404 Jackson St., Hope, Indiana, to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed federally funded CDBG project.
