Perceptions Yoga, Mindfulness and Art is pleased to announce our next exhibition of art
in Vernon. The public is invited to attend the opening reception of “Attractive Oddities”
on Saturday, June 7th from 2 to 4 pm to meet artist Henry (Hank) F. Jenkins IV, view the
exhibition, and make purchases of art.
Hank is a graduate of Jennings County High School and a recent law school graduate
of Loyola University. He is currently a Chicago-based attorney, part time creative, and
lifelong smart aleck. His work lives somewhere between carefully orchestrated imagery
and unhinged, gleeful chaos. Drawing inspiration from the weird, the obscure,
avant-garde traditions, and the occasional impulse to set something on fire (artistically,
of course), he builds visuals that toe the line between concept and catastrophe.
He enthusiastically invites you to explore this collection of attractive oddities- some of
which may have been accidents, and none of which are apologies. Complementary
refreshments will be served.
Galleries will be open throughout the month to view the exhibit on Tuesdays from noon
to 5 pm, Thursdays from 3:30 to 5 pm, and Saturdays from 11 to 2 pm. There will also
be a closing reception on June 27, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Perceptions.
