Indiana University Columbus and the African American Foundation Bartholomew County invite the community to cheer on their local college basketball teams on Feb. 15 at NexusPark, as part of this year’s Black History Month events.

Both the men’s and women’s Crimson Pride basketball teams will play against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. The men’s game starts at 1 p.m. and features a performance by the IU Columbus Dance Team during halftime. The women’s game starts at 3 p.m., and 20+ local students will be recognized at halftime for their achievements with the Education Matters program.

Throughout the day, Crimson Pride athletes and coaches will be available to sign autographs, take photos and answer questions from area children and community members. In addition, concessions and IU Columbus gear will be available for purchase.
