Thomas Thigpen and Amy Wardlow were named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, at Columbus East High School. At North High School, Elizabeth Millis took the top spot, and Christina Gustafson was named salutatorian.
1990
The Columbus City Council authorized a program allowing residents and businesses to have their names carved into bricks that would be used to pave sidewalks in the renovation of the downtown area.
