2005

Columbus-based Dorel Juvenile Group announced the recall of about 190,000 child car seats due to a harness malfunction.

1990

Despite a sign that said “Road Closed,” drivers still attempted to plow through 18 inches of water standing on State Road 11 south of Jonathan Moore Pike. Most were successful, but a few didn’t make it and had to be pulled or pushed out.

1965

Columbus Traffic Commission approved proposals from the state highway department’s Seymour district office to ban parking on Jackson Street from Third to Eighth streets and on the east side of Washington Street from Eighth to 11th streets because of expected traffic problems during the summer.
