Bartholomew County sheriff’s deputies arrested two men on drug-related charges after a caller said there were two suspicious men at the Circle K convenience store at 3461 U.S. 31 South.

Deputy Sgt. Kris Weisner and police dog Bolt were sent to the store at 1:54 a.m. Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s department report.

After making contact with the individuals, Weisner said he thought both men were impaired, the report said.

Kyle Ford, 33, 5950 W. County Road 800N, Scipio, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving while suspended and possession of marijuana, two Bartholomew County warrants and one Jennings County warrant, according to the report.

His passenger, John Wilson, 23, 9978 Bruce St., Columbus, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and illegal possession of a syringe, the report said.

Methamphetamine, a syringe and marijuana were found in the men’s pickup truck, deputies said.

Ford is being held without bond in the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said. Wilson is being held in lieu of $65,000 bond.
