North Vernon
Brenda C. Edwards, 64, of North Vernon, died at 4:40 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015, at her home.
Brenda was born October 27, 1950 in Boston, Kentucky, the daughter of Oscar Raymond and Kathleen Hughes Harris. She married Douglas W. Edwards on March 16, 1996. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2015.
Brenda enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and bird watching. She loved spending time with her family, especially her babies, her dogs.
The funeral will be conducted at at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Pastor Raymond Dupree officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation through the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandy K. (D.J.) Kirk of North Vernon, Teresa L. Blair and Kathy M. (Al) Grimm both of Edinburgh, Tamie Whitis of Franklin and Billy Jo Parks of Columbus; grandchildren, Chelsie McFall, Brandon Acton, Ashley Daniels, Tray Shepherd, Tommy McFall, Anthony Edwards, Niki Daniels, Kristin Grimm, Valerie Purdue, Johnathon Purdue, Kyle Grimm, Jaylin Asher, Damian Blair, William Anderson, Kyrstin Mills, Rayne Parks and Desirae Allen; great-grandchildren, Jayden Dykes, Brayleigh Barringer, Jerimiah Daniels and Blakelyn McFall; sisters, Sherlyn Whitchurch and Glenda Beisel, both of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas W. Edwards; a son, Thomas McFall; parents, Oscar Raymond and Kathleen Hughes Harris.
Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
