Brownstown
Ruth Lydia Elizabeth Peters Wischmeier, 86, of Brownstown, died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.
Survivors include two sons, Gary (Eleanor) Wischmeier of Freetown and Keith (Nancy) Wischmeier of Vallonia; one daughter, Debra (Stephen) Klinge of Vallonia; two adopted sons, Michael Wischmeier and Mark Wischmeier, both of Florida; one foster son, Edward (Linda) Dannis of Texas; one sister, Leona (Jewel) Fleetwood of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin “Pete” Wischmeier.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wegan, with Pastor Martin Keller officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Spurgeon Funeral Home in Brownstown and from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
