Safe Routes to School workshop set

Columbus residents who live near Parkside Elementary School and Northside Middle School will be able to address safety concerns about walking or biking through the area at a public workshop Wednesday.

As part of the Walkable and Livable Communities Institute visit Wednesday and Thursday, Reach Healthy Communities is hosting a Safe Routes to School Workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the cafeteria of Northside Middle School, 1400 27th St.

At the workshop, residents can provide input about ways to improve the environment in the areas surrounding the schools to make walking and biking safer, especially for students.

The workshop is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
