MALE

Alex Algee, Columbus North senior football player

Algee caught 10 passes for 198 yards and a touchdown and returned a kickoff 88 yards for a score in the Bull Dogs’ 49-41 loss at Southport.

His performance last week:

“I thought I played my heart out. I just did whatever I could when I got the ball in my hands and made big plays when we needed them.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“I don’t hang out with friends. I stay home and I kind of go into a solitary mode where I get my mind right and listen to music and eat a turkey and cheese sandwich.”

“I drink water all the time.”

FEMALE

Bryn Eudy, Columbus East senior soccer player

Eudy recorded seven saves in a 1-0 shutout of New Castle in the East Central Regional semifinals. She then posted 11 saves in Saturday’s 1-0 regional final loss to East Central.

Her performance last week:

“I think that I played well as an individual, but more importantly, we played well as a team.”

Do you do anything special to prepare?

“Normally, I try to talk to all my teammates. I don’t sleep before games or listen to music. I try to stay hydrated.”

“I drink Coke all the time.”

Favorite food:

“A Caesar wrap from Noodles and Company”

“My sister (former East goalkeeper Spencer Eudy) said ‘You can’t let one goal or one bad touch ruin an entire game.’”

“Stay in shape after soccer season.”

“Probably somewhere in Africa or the Middle East because not many people have the opportunity to go there, and culturally, it’s pretty different than here.”
