Less than one month after earning seventh-place honors at the ISSMA State Marching Band Finals, the Sound of North marching band prepared to head back to the RCA Dome in Indianapolis for the America Grand National Championship competition.

1990

A new Arvin display of a 1931 Model-A Ford near 13th Street and Hutchins Avenue was damaged in a traffic accident when an eastbound car jumped the curb surrounding the display, hitting the antique auto in the right front fender and grill.

1965

Dry air lines, aluminum-lined plastic pipes to feed pressurized dry air into underground and aerial telephone cables were installed in Columbus at a cost of $23,000.
