Columbus East baseball beat Bloomington South in a 11-5, 13-3 double-header, coming out of a 5-4 loss to Jennings County.

The leadoff batter was big for Columbus North’s baseball team, as each time he came around to score in an 8-7 victory over Franklin. The Grizzly Cubs closed within 8-7 in the seventh inning with two solo home runs, but North starting pitcher Kevin Rankin coaxed Franklin’s Jesse McShanog into a game-ending pop up.

“Last of the Red Hot Lovers,” a Neil Simon comedy, was presented by the Columbus Art Guild at the Columbus Bakalar Municipal Airport. The play was directed by Charles Eckert, who had previously directed at the Indiana Repertory Theater.
